I have been operating my bookkeeping business for the past 19 years.

Prior to July 2012 I worked for different employers in the area of finance administration and payroll and I maintained a small base of bookkeeping clients outside of that. In July 2012 I left my last employer to focus full time on my bookkeeping business.

I would describe myself as a “super nerd” and pride myself in getting it right for the client. I have been a registered BAS agent with the Tax Practitioners’ Board since March 2010 (Registered BAS agent number 26108105).  I have the required bookkeeping qualification of Certificate IV in Financial Services (Accounting) and in 2013 I successfully completed my Diploma of Accounting.

The past few years have seen a lot of growth and I now lead a team of 7 who are all amazing at what they do.

We enjoy working with a variety of businesses and assure each client full focus on their bookwork while we are working for them. 

These days I try to be a bit less "hands on" and more of a mentor to my team.

I will generally set up a new client and then hand the work over to one of my capable team however I am always in the background for support for both my team members and our clients.

I also need to manage my own growing business!

• I am fully insured in accordance with BAS agent requirements.

• I am a member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB), Australian Bookkeepers Network & the Association of Accounting Technicians Australia (AAT).

• I am a Pure Bookkeeping licensee and have been since 2021.  This provides myself and my team with a myriad of resources, training. checklists and templates so we are all working in a consistent manner no matter who is working on a client file.

1. Xero - I am a Xero Certified Advisor and Gold Champion Partner

This requires an annual re-test and completion of required training.  This entitles to me a partner discount on Xero subscriptions as well as access to Xero’s partner plans that are unavailable to non-partners.

2. Microkeeper

Microkeeper is a cloud based time keeping, roster and payroll solution created by locals to Geelong.

An approved Xero add-on.

3. Dext

I became a Dext Certified Partner in 2017. 

Dext offers clients an easy way to submit their receipts and bills instantly via their mobile phone app or email. 

This enables clients to go paperless and provides a clear audit trail. 

We especially love the integration of Dext with Xero.

We also love Dext's artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities which allow us to deliver efficiencies to those clients who use it.

4. Canyou

Canyou is a web based software we use for client and client employee onboarding.

We have also been using Canyou for PDF document signing.

Clients can use Canyou to manage some HR functions.

5. Karbon

Our team uses Karbon as our Workflow Management tool. 

Karbon allows us to work collaboratively even though we may rarely all be physically in the same space. 

Karbon also allows us to work collaboratively with our clients who can also use Karbon as a tool to communicate with us because we can all do with less emails!
