How we work:

We can either work onsite at your business or from our home offices.

J Hill Books registered office is located in Lara.

Xero and Dext are our preferred cloud accounting softwares to use.

Once we have established a weekly, monthly or quarterly routine for your business we will train another qualified staff member so that you always have a back-up service available.

Clients who require a weekly payroll take priority in this to ensure your staff are always paid correctly and on time.

Cost to you:

The cost to you depends on both the type and frequency of bookkeeping services required and whether or not you have purchased your own accounting software.

The type of fees that may be incurred are:

  • Hourly rate for catching up on a backlog of data.

  • Hourly rate for software set up and/or training (includes a two-hour minimum if travelling to site).

  • 2 hour minimum fee to attend site.

  • Separate BAS & IAS fee charged to all clients.

  • For ongoing clients, once workload and frequency are established, we can move away from invoicing by the hour and charge an agreed fixed monthly fee or service based fee so that costs are consistent and known in advance.

  • Travel time charged one way only for clients where site visits include travel time 30 minutes or more.

  • Re-charge of software subscription on a monthly basis if utilising accounting software under our subscription rather than your own.

We don’t offer the lowest hourly rate but assure value for money.

A skilled & efficient bookkeeper will save your business costs over the long term.
